I’m not happy with the food I’ve been shooting lately. There’s some critical part of me that’s missing from my images. Maybe it’s because I’ve been actively trying to shoot for stock, specifically iStock. After years of railing against the lures of microstock companies, I gave in. My logic was, these images are just sitting on my hard drive anyway.
So far I’m seeing more rejected than accepted, which is depressing. I’ve stopped even reading the emails. Yeah, yeah, artifacting, fringe, focal point, blah, bite me. You’re selling it for a g*ddamned dollar, you know? Get over it. So now that I’m examining images at 100 percent like they do, all I can see are the flaws. All I can see are things I don’t know how to fix. So far this week, I’ve shot probably 200 images. Spent hours and hours and hours trying to Photoshop even one to a point I could say I was proud of it. So here you go, round two of another disappointing shoot.
