I could get used to feeling good. It’s been so long. I feel profoundly alive. Happy even.

Things are going so well, I hardly know where to start. My grandpa was moved from ICU to a regular room today and is even walking a little following a triple bypass. Work has never been better. I reached my first 50-pound weight loss goal today, weighing in at less than I’ve weighed in more years than I can remember. I celebrated with a glorious, sweat-soaked hour playing racquetball at Fitness One.

And today I have a new story in Christian Science Monitor about a 23-year-old evangelist drawing crowds of 5,000 teenagers every week. In a few days, I’ll probably be on the road again, hopefully writing another story from the always lovely Pensacola, Fla.

Good stuff, all. And now, before 11 p.m. no less, I think I’ll head to bed. 🙂
