Just sort of looking out the office window today, watching the birds and squirrels. This time of year, the yard is filled with black birds, pigeons, squirrels, and other wildlife. I spend a lot of time just gazing out at the grey skies, thinking.

On an up note, Starwood Hotels picked up five short stories I wrote for their “50 Beans, 50 Words” campaign. The stories will be given to customers to read as they drink cups of espresso made with just 50 beans. It’s a cool project and was a nice boost during an otherwise disappointing week.

In other news, I have two happy secrets. And that’s a very, very good thing. 🙂
