Columbus, Mississippi
A still life setup of some of the things offered at The Front Door in Columbus. It was insanely hard to get the bread to stay in position and keep the raffia from poking up through the macaroni, especially holding an SB-26 above my head with a semi-translucent rubber potholder wrapped around it for diffusion.
I think I should start a new television series — “Ghetto Photo: Making Do with Whatcha Got” — or something like that.
All in all, considering I gathered the ingredients myself, I think it turned out pretty well. I had to keep moving every few minutes because I was shooting in the front window to maximize the ambient light, leaving me standing right in front of the um, Front Door’s front door. I’ve shot worse. I’m pleased. 🙂
