As the miles flew beneath my tires, I wondered why it makes me so happy to get out of the city. Sometimes I think that all I really need is a day or two a week shooting rural scenes like this one.

I’m deeply immersed in a story right now, and it was a pleasant change to get out, stretch my legs, and hear nothing but birds and the occasional cow.

I wish I did this more often.
