Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Sometimes the only good thing you can say about the day is that it does eventually come to an end.

There was chocolate coffee for breakfast, lunch with Nicholas, and an evening chat with a friend.

There was a stressful confrontation, an unpleasant telephone call, and a disappointing wild goose chase.

There were a lot of tears, a couple of laughs, and a few bitten fingernails.

And there was the promise of tomorrow, with whatever it may bring.
