Tuscaloosa, Alabama
I am suddenly up to my nose in work, and I couldn’t be happier.
My day started off with a last-minute assignment from the paper to travel almost 200 miles round-trip to photograph a hazardous waste facility, then culminated with a magazine assignment to photograph a party the paper was hosting for the Alabama Press Association.
Tomorrow promises to be busy as well. The day will begin with an early morning magazine assignment photographing some locals headed to the Academy Awards, followed by a newspaper assignment photographing a car enthusiast and his hot rods. I will have a brief break, during which I will dash to the baptism of my friends’ son, Aidan, shoot a few frames, then head to another magazine assignment — a party for the mayor.
Next week I am already booked to shoot four ads, and at the end of the month….well, I’ll keep that one a secret for now until the contractual details are ironed out. Suffice it to say that I may have a new client and the opportunity to shoot something that will make at least one of you (RainKing and possibly Porfirio as well) somewhat interested if not downright jealous. It’s funny how very little it takes to brighten my world. You can have your vacations and days off. For me, happiness is a warm camera 🙂
