Montevallo, Alabama

This is is sort of a throw-away shot, made Feb. 16, 2001 while on assignment for Industrial Safety and Hygiene magazine in Montevallo, Ala. At the time, I liked the sort of unconventional “family portrait” feel of it.

As much as I hate to delve into my archives, I haven’t photographed much that has pleased me lately. I shot three basketball games tonight, and I will shoot several other assignments for the paper tomorrow, but all in all I am rather uninspired and unimpressed by my recent efforts.
