While shooting a party for the paper a few days ago, I decided to lie on the floor to try a different angle. Looking up through the throngs of feet, the lights in my eyes, the pounding of the music mixing with the rhythm of my own blood, I was suddenly overwhelmed by it all.
Everything was too fast, too bright, too colorful, too loud. An instant wave of nausea washed over me, forcing me to press my cheek against the coolness of the floor for a second to gather my bearings.
This photo would never be used for the paper, but it is the closest I could come to recording my feelings at that moment.
