Nothing special about these, just another high school basketball game shot for the paper, just another Friday night. Still, there is a lot to be said for having a routine, for knowing where you belong and what you will be doing on any given day. Work has picked up dramatically and I am thankful for that. I like to be busy. I like to be productive. I like to feel like I have a purpose in the world. Tonight, after the game, Nicholas and I bought groceries, and even that was strangely satisfying in an ordinary “just another day in Tuscaloosa” kind of way. Home. Home. It’s good to be home.
