Tuscaloosa, Alabama
This was one of those images that happens only rarely. I stopped because I saw some antique cars, but as I got closer, the sun shining through the flags captivated me. I tried to shoot the men in the rocking chairs for a few frames but it wasn’t really happening. Then this lady walked right beneath the flags, prompting a flurry of paparazzi-style shooting. Within seconds, it was over and I walked away thinking, “Wow, why can’t it always be that easy?” It’s fun when it happens that way.
