I’m afraid there may be a sudden proliferation of macro images on this site thanks to a friend’s generous offer to let me borrow a 50mm macro lens for a while. Sure, it’s an old clunker, and it would be great if it were autofocus as my eyesight leaves a lot to be desired, but it’s still pretty cool.

I’ve had a lot of fun today just walking around looking at stuff through it. It reminds me of when I was little and I wanted to wear my swimming pool goggles everywhere because I loved the cool polarization effect. It seems that everything in life is either ordinary or beautiful, depending on how you look at it, and these days, I’m looking for the magic.
