I am a 33-year-old freelance photographer living in Alabama with a graphic designer and five spoiled brats cats.

I took my first photograph at the age of three and got my first paying job as a reporter/photographer when I was 14.

I double-majored in journalism and English in college, with undeclared double minors in psychology and French.

I am a former editor, an only child, and an incorrigible geek.

I drive too fast, listen to my music too loud, and have delusions of actually using one of the three foreign languages I studied.

Besides being a photography term, "cloudybright" describes my personality pretty well.

I am up/down/happy/sad and very rarely anything in between.

Depression kicks me in the head sometimes. But I stand back up. Always.

I am a life-long insomniac and have seen and lived through more than I care to admit.

I like people who try to really know me, and I love being around people who are passionate about what they do.

I like rainy afternoons, stormy nights, flannel shirts, and white button-downs.

I shoot for money, I shoot for fun, and I shoot to improve. Every day.

I write between the lines; I write to kill the time; I write to exorcise my demons.
